Importing Ads

Once you've connected an ad account, you can import your existing campaigns into the platform.

How to import

Step 1 - Go to Import

In the sidebar navigation, click Setup → Connections.

Step 2 - Choose a platform

Select the platform you want to import from:

  • Google Ads
  • Meta Ads
  • Microsoft Ads

You can only import from platforms you've already connected. If you don't see the platform you need, connect it first.

Step 3 - Select campaigns

You'll see a list of all campaigns available in the connected account.

  1. Check the campaigns you want to import
  2. Use the search bar to filter by name if you have many campaigns
  3. Click Import Selected

TIP

You can import all campaigns at once by clicking Select All.

Step 4 - Wait for import to complete

Depending on the number of campaigns and ads, import usually takes 5–30 seconds.

Step 5 - Review your ads

Click Manage → Campaigns to go to your campaigns. Your campaigns are now ready to manage.

Step 6 - Assign campaigns to Activities

Once your campaigns are imported, the next step is to assign them to Activities. An Activity is a container that groups related campaigns together - across platforms if needed. It's the central place where you set budgets, define targets, and track goals. Reports in Evolve are built around Activities, so the more organised your Activity structure is, the more useful your data will be.

You can assign campaigns from multiple platforms (Google, Meta, Microsoft) to the same Activity - this is especially useful when running cross-platform campaigns with a shared budget or goal.

Sync

If you've made changes directly in Google/Meta/Microsoft after importing, you can re-import to sync the latest version.

Go to Manage → Campaigns and select the same campaigns again. Updated data will overwrite the existing version in the platform.

WARNING

Publish any edits you made inside our platform, otherwise will be overwritten if you re-import.

Troubleshooting

I imported but some campaigns are missing

Check that those campaigns are active or paused - deleted campaigns are not imported. Also make sure you have access to them in the original platform.

Import is stuck / taking too long

Refresh the page. If the import is still running after 5 minutes, contact support with the date and time of the import.

I got an error during import

Your connection token may have expired. Go to Setup → Connections and check the status of your connection. Reconnect if needed.
